This one takes me back to 2013, early in my career when I was still figuring out my style and how to work a camera properly. I produced, filmed, and edited this live session for On T’ Sofa – a music channel that showcased artists performing stripped-back sets in a simple studio setup (yes, on an actual Chesterfield sofa).
The look was raw on purpose. You can see the lights, the mic stands, even the edges of the space – all part of that up-close, unpolished feel that put the focus on the music and the artists themselves.
It was a great crash course in shooting live performance, working fast, and letting imperfection add a bit of charm.
